Ring Neighborhood Library here once again! November's Craft was creating magnificent Holiday Cards.

Halloween Storytime

Thanks to Community Engagement for hosting such a fun Halloween Storytime at Ring.  The kids loved the stories and enjoyed making their pumpkin masks!  

Each participant also received a fun Halloween bookmark created by our wonderful volunteer, Syed!

Lego Storytime

Check out the awesome Lego alligators the kids made at Storytime this past Thursday!

Each Hungry Alligator was connected to a computer to create movement with their robot.  Thanks to Community Engagement for allowing our customers this fun opportunity!

October Craft - Japanese Stab Binding

Hello!

For the October Craft at Ring Neighborhood Library we bound our own books with Japanese Stab Binding! The covers were hand made by a staff member out of some old National Geographic Magazines (the year that worked the best was 1985) using the technique of dousing the magazine with CitraSolv, a natural orange degreaser. Our National Geographic Magazines were donated by Looscan Neighborhood Library. Thank you so much Looscan!

Lego Education

Lego Education!

Thanks to Community Engagement for hosting Lego Education at our Storytime this week!  Everyone had a great time listening to stories and assembling their Lego cars.

Celebrating Fall

Let's Celebrate Fall!

Kids and parents alike enjoyed making their own fall wreaths during our October 9th "Celebrating Fall" Storytime.  Everyone had a wonderful time!

HEB Buddy and Ring Neighborhood Library

On September 25th, HEB Buddy entered the library and greatly entertained the children at Storytime! A great time was had by all!

The children had a wonderful time creating pinatas and dancing with Buddy.

Silver Stars - Fall 2014

Harris County Master Gardeners visited Ring Neighborhood Library and presented Container Gardening: Fall Vegetables this past Thursday, September 11.  Our customers had a great time while improving their knowledge about Texas plants.
